Ring networks, substations and metering for campuses and parks
Industrial parks, business campuses and utility distribution areas need a layer that can grow block by block: 10–35 kV ring feeders, compact substations close to the load, and LV distribution with metering per tenant.

Design priorities
What parks and utilities ask for first
01
Ring network reliability
Ring main units with C, F and V modules isolate a faulted cable section without dropping the rest of the ring.
02
Compact substations at the load
Prefabricated substations placed close to the buildings cut LV cable length and let the park be energised block by block.
03
Metering per tenant
CT/VT metering, multifunction meters and communication interfaces for tenant billing and park-level energy reporting.
04
Room for phased expansion
Spare feeders, extendable busbars and modular LV sections so a new building can be connected without rebuilding the substation.

Typical configuration
What a typical scheme looks like
A typical park distribution path from the incoming substation to the tenant boards.
- Incoming substation: 35 kV or 10 kV, 1250–2000 A
- Ring main units: 12 kV or 24 kV, 630 A, C/F/V modules
- Distribution transformer: 10 kV / 0.4 kV, 630–1600 kVA
- LV distribution: 400 V, fixed or drawout, metering per feeder
- Cable branch boxes: 10 kV outdoor branch and switching points
- Protection: feeder relays, fault passage indicators, SCADA interface
Recommended equipment
Equipment we would put in this scheme

RM6 ring main unit
SF6-insulated RMU with C, F and V modules for park ring feeders and transformer protection.

YBM compact substation
12 kV prefabricated substation combining MV switchgear, transformer and LV distribution.

GGD low-voltage cabinet
400 V fixed distribution cabinet for tenant boards and park LV distribution.

10 kV cable branch box
Outdoor cable branch and switching box for park cable networks and later connections.
How we deliver
One team from drawing review to commissioning
01
Engineering review
We start from your single-line diagram, load list and fault level, then confirm the topology, ratings and protection scheme before anything is quoted.
02
Manufacture and test
Switchgear, transformers and substations are built in Yueqing, routine tested and documented against the relevant IEC and GB standards.
03
Delivery and support
Export packing, drawings, test reports and O&M manuals travel with the shipment, with commissioning support available on site.
Questions buyers ask
Frequently asked questions
Ring or radial network for a new park?
Ring networks cost more cable but keep the park energised when one section faults; radial is cheaper for small parks. We can price both arrangements.
Box substation or a civil transformer room?
A prefabricated substation is delivered assembled and tested, needs only a foundation, and can be relocated if the park layout changes.
How is tenant metering handled?
Metering CTs, multifunction meters and communication interfaces are built into the LV feeders, so consumption can be billed per tenant or per building.
Can the substation be extended later?
Yes. Spare MV feeders, extendable busbars and modular LV sections are specified at the outset so later buildings can be connected without a rebuild.
Planning distribution for a park or campus?
Send the park layout, load estimate and point-of-connection voltage. We will propose a ring, substation and metering arrangement.
