From generator terminals to the grid connection point
Power plants and substations need distribution at several voltage levels in the same project: 3.3–40.5 kV auxiliary systems, generator step-up, and the protection and metering the grid operator asks for. SAGE Power supplies that equipment as one documented package.

Design priorities
What a plant or substation package must cover
01
Multi-voltage distribution
3.3 kV, 6 kV, 10 kV, 35 kV and 40.5 kV equipment coordinated in one project, with consistent protection philosophy across levels.
02
Generator step-up and unit auxiliary
Transformer and switchgear combinations for the generator breaker, unit auxiliary transformer and station service supply.
03
Station service reliability
Redundant auxiliary supplies, automatic transfer and selective protection so the plant keeps its own loads energised during a grid disturbance.
04
Protection, metering and documentation
Numerical relays, class 0.5 or 0.2S metering and a document set that satisfies the utility and the owner’s engineer.

Typical configuration
What a typical scheme looks like
A representative arrangement for a generating unit and its auxiliary distribution.
- Generator breaker: 10–20 kV, 2000–4000 A, 40 kA
- Unit auxiliary transformer: 20/6.3 kV or 10/0.4 kV, 1600–2500 kVA
- MV auxiliary: 3.3 kV, 6 kV or 10 kV, withdrawable
- LV auxiliary: 400 V, 2500–4000 A, drawout
- Protection: generator, transformer and feeder relays, interlocking
- Enclosure: indoor, arc-rated compartments, cable entry per layout
Recommended equipment
Equipment we would put in this scheme

How we deliver
One team from drawing review to commissioning
01
Engineering review
We start from your single-line diagram, load list and fault level, then confirm the topology, ratings and protection scheme before anything is quoted.
02
Manufacture and test
Switchgear, transformers and substations are built in Yueqing, routine tested and documented against the relevant IEC and GB standards.
03
Delivery and support
Export packing, drawings, test reports and O&M manuals travel with the shipment, with commissioning support available on site.
Questions buyers ask
Frequently asked questions
Can you supply equipment to IEC and GB requirements?
Yes. Switchgear is designed and tested to IEC 62271 and GB standards, with type test reports and routine test records issued with the equipment.
Do you provide generator circuit breakers?
We supply 10–20 kV withdrawable switchgear for generator and unit auxiliary circuits; final ratings follow the generator datasheet and fault study.
How is station service redundancy handled?
Auxiliary boards are arranged with dual incomers and automatic transfer, with interlocking and protection settings coordinated with the main scheme.
What documentation comes with the package?
Drawings, routine test reports, type test references, relay setting sheets and O&M manuals are issued before shipment for owner and utility review.
Building a plant auxiliary or substation package?
Send the single-line diagram, generator data and utility requirements. We will return a multi-voltage equipment scope and document list.
