Power distribution for facilities that cannot go dark
A data centre electrical room is a chain of dependencies: utility feeder, MV ring, transformer, LV main, UPS and PDU. SAGE Power supplies the MV and LV distribution layer in that chain as one coordinated, factory-tested scope, so protection settings, interlocking and interfaces are resolved before the equipment reaches site.

Design priorities
What the electrical room has to get right
01
Dual-source MV architecture
Two independent 10 kV or 15 kV incomers with a mechanically interlocked bus tie, arranged for open or closed transition to match your topology.
02
Indoor dry-type transformation
SCB cast-resin transformers at 10 kV/0.4 kV, 1000–2500 kVA, AN/AF cooled, chosen for low loss and low partial discharge inside the building envelope.
03
Selective LV protection
Drawout LV switchgear with 2500–4000 A busbars, form 3b/4 segregation and interchangeable modules for fast fault isolation and maintenance.
04
Metering and integration
Multifunction meters, digital relays and RS485/Modbus interfaces ready for EPMS, BMS and SCADA integration.

Typical configuration
What a typical scheme looks like
A representative 10 kV supply for a Tier III-style facility; final values follow your single-line diagram, fault level and redundancy class.
- MV incoming: 10 kV or 15 kV, 630–1250 A, 25 kA / 3 s
- MV switching: ring main unit or KYN28-12 metal-clad, 2 incomers + bus tie
- Transformer: SCB 10 kV / 0.4 kV, 1000–2500 kVA, dry-type, IP20–IP31
- LV main: 400 V, 2500–4000 A, drawout, form 3b / form 4
- Protection: numerical relays, key and mechanical interlocking, EPMS-ready metering
- Enclosure: indoor, front access, cable entry from below or above
Recommended equipment
Equipment we would put in this scheme

KYN28-12 switchgear
12 kV metal-clad withdrawable switchgear with four compartments and mechanical interlocking.

SCB cast-resin transformer
10 kV class dry-type transformer, 50–5000 kVA, vacuum-cast windings, IP20–IP54 enclosures.

LV drawout switchgear
GCS and MNS-style drawout cabinets for 400 V main and distribution boards, form 3b/4.

Intelligent compact substation
Prefabricated MV/LV substation with SCADA, pre-wired and routine tested for fast installation.
How we deliver
One team from drawing review to commissioning
01
Engineering review
We start from your single-line diagram, load list and fault level, then confirm the topology, ratings and protection scheme before anything is quoted.
02
Manufacture and test
Switchgear, transformers and substations are built in Yueqing, routine tested and documented against the relevant IEC and GB standards.
03
Delivery and support
Export packing, drawings, test reports and O&M manuals travel with the shipment, with commissioning support available on site.
Questions buyers ask
Frequently asked questions
Dry-type or oil-immersed transformer inside a data centre?
Dry-type: cast-resin transformers remove the oil fire load and are suitable for indoor electrical rooms, with low partial discharge and IP20–IP31 enclosures.
How is redundancy handled?
Two independent incomers feed a mechanically interlocked bus tie. The arrangement is set for open or closed transition to suit your Tier class and upstream protection.
Can you work to our single-line diagram?
Yes. Send the SLD, load list and fault level; we return a marked-up configuration, a bill of materials and a drawing set for approval.
How does the equipment integrate with EPMS or BMS?
Multifunction meters and protection relays expose RS485/Modbus data, and relay interfaces are documented for your BMS or EPMS integrator.
Chasing a Tier III or IV electrical room?
Send your single-line diagram, redundancy class and fault level. We will return a coordinated MV/LV configuration and a drawing set for review.
