The SC(B)10 series dry-type power transformers are built around an epoxy resin vacuum casting process. Because the coils are cast in epoxy resin under vacuum, the transformer achieves excellent insulation performance with low partial discharge.

The iron core is made from high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheets using a good lamination process, which results in low no-load loss. The coils are made from materials with high electrical conductivity, giving low load loss and a good energy-saving effect.

After curing, the coils form a rigid whole, which gives strong short-circuit resistance and high mechanical strength. A noise reduction design is applied to both the iron core and the coils, so the operating noise is low. There is no need for insulating oil, which is the defining advantage of a dry-type transformer over an oil-immersed design.
